For Readers

SFWA provides featured authors and books for readers looking for their next great read, as well as readings in various regions of the U.S.

Join Clara Ward, Ellis Bray, and Peter Damien on November 8th at 6:00pm at Village Books in Bellingham, WA for “Hopepunk! Imagining Positive Futures.” These variously neurodivergent and queer authors will discuss outside-the-box story options and share brief excerpts from their work in recent anthologies Even Cozier Cosmic and The Neurodiversiverse: Alien Encounters and the novel Be the Sea. Reserve your spot with a $5 book voucher at: https://www.villagebooks.com/litlive-hopepunk-110824

Brooklyn Books & Booze returns on Tuesday, November 19 at 7pm at Barrow’s Intense Tasting Room at 86th 34th Street, Brooklyn, NY (in Industry City)! Our readers this month are Grady Hendrix, Terese Svoboda, Austin Grossman and Shiva Kumar! This is a monthly (usually third Tuesday) in-person event that showcases four authors reading from their recent works. And it’s FREE!

For more information, go to BrooklynBooksBooze.com

Want to list your reading in the Singularity? Email singularity@sfwa.org and we’ll get you in. An event’s featured guest does not have to be a SFWA member, but we prioritize listing members if demand exceeds space in the newsletter. Please be sure to include 1) the date and time of your event (including time zone!) and 2) a brief promotional blurb with any details needed to attend (location, cover charge, necessary links, and so on).
