Schrödinger Sessions Application Period Open
The application period for “The Schrödinger Sessions: Science for Science Fiction” is open now through March 20.
The Schrödinger Sessions is designed to be a “crash course” in modern physics for science fiction writers. The three-day workshop will be held July 28th – 30th at the Joint Quantum Institute (JQI), at the University of Maryland—one of the world’s leading research centers for the study of quantum mechanics.
Learn about superposition, entanglement, and quantum information through a series of lectures by JQI scientists and tours of JQI laboratories.
The organizers hope the workshop will “inform and inspire new stories in print, on screen, and in electronic media, that will in turn inspire a broad audience to learn more about the weird and fascinating science of quantum physics and the transformative technologies it enables.”
