RIP: Marguerite McClure Bradbury (1922-2003)
Marguerite ("Maggie") McClure Bradbury, wife of one of America’s best known writers, Ray Bradbury, passed away on November 24.
A graduate of UCLA, Marguerite met Ray in 1946 while working as a clerk in a LA bookshop. They were married on September 27, 1947 and eventually had four daughters and eight grandchildren. They lived in Los Angeles.
She was buried Friday at Westwood Village Memorial Park, a small cemetery near UCLA, that is the final resting place for such notables as Marilyn Monroe, Dean Martin, Roy Orbison, and Walter Matthau.
