Yard Dog Press, purveyor of strange, weird and even wonderful books has released its fourth Double Dog containing the short novel The Lunari Mask by Laura J. Underwood and the novella "Sabre Dance" by Melanie Fletcher.
The Lunari Mask is best described as a dark version of "Pirates of the Caribbean meet Granny Weatherwax," while "Sabre Dance" is a swashbuckling adventure of "Musketeers meet the Arabian Nights."
Underwood is the author of numerous works of short fiction and novels in the fantasy field, including Dragon's Tongue, The Hounds of Ardagh and two other Yard Dog Press titles, Ard Magister and Chronicles of the Last War. Fletcher's work includes "Think Small" forthcoming in Enchantment Place, edited by Denise Little, and "The Padre, The Rabbi and The Devil His Ownself" (which received an Honorable Mention in 2006 Year's Best Science Fiction, edited by Gardner Dozois) in Helix Speculative Fiction.
