University Book Store in Seattle, Washington, hosts SFWA members L. Timmel Duchamp, Eileen Gunn, and Vonda N. McIntyre, and several other writers of SF/F, celebrating Tachyon Publications' The James Tiptree Award Anthology 3: Subversive Stories about Sex and Gender. Karen Joy Fowler, Pat Murphy, Debbie Notkin, and Jeffrey D. Smith edited the anthology.
The anthology includes Duchamp's "Dear Alice Sheldon" and McIntyre's Nebula Award® nominated novelet, "Little Faces," which is available at her website.
The James Tiptree Jr. Award is presented annually "to a work or works that explore and expand gender roles in science fiction and fantasy."
The event is scheduled for Friday, 20 April 2007, at 7:00 p.m.
