Don Sakers: Across The Scattered Worlds

cover for Dance for the Ivory Madonna, by Don Sakers

Science fiction writer Don Sakers announces the launch of "Across the Scattered Worlds," a weekly blog that features fictional news, personalities, and entertainment from the universe of his Scattered Worlds series.

Once a week, "Across the Scattered Worlds" presents a new featurette drawn from a corner of the Scattered Worlds universe. News features, human-interest stories, even fictional advertisements — Sakers says, "Think of it as excerpts from Time magazine in a made-up universe."

The Scattered Worlds universe is a consistent background that covers more than two billion years, countless worlds, and dozens of alien races. Currently, the Scattered Worlds series consists of four books and numerous short stories. Sakers is currently at work on a fifth book in the series.

The Scattered Worlds books can be read in any order. "It's really more like a mosaic than a traditional series," says Sakers. "You can start anywhere, and admire the individual piece — but there's also a larger picture that emerges."
