James Goldstone (1931-1999)

James Goldstone, director of television shows and movies, died of cancer at his home in Shaftsbury, Vt. on Friday, November 5.

Goldstone was best known as the Director of the pilot episode of Star Trek, "Where No Man Has Gone Before," but he also directed episodes of the genre series Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, The Man from U.N.C.L.E and The Outer Limits. He directed several movies, including The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight and When Time Ran Out.
