Virginia Tech German Professor, photographer and multimedia artist, Christopher James Bishop died in the shooting rampage at the University on April 16, 2007.

Bishop was in his second year of teaching at Virginia Tech. He had a BA and MA in German from the University of Georgia and taught English in Germany for several years.

Jamie's mulitimedia art was featured on the cover of Michael Jasper's Gunning for the Buddha and several books by his father, Michael Bishop.

He is survived by his wife Dr. Srefanie Hofer who also teaches at Virginia Tech.
