News Update (27 Nov 96)

Good news: Jo is wheeling to Powell's City of Books this Sunday, her first outing since she went into the hospital in August! Eliz and I and a mutual friend (Sarah) will accompany her. The staff at Powell's sf/f dept. is looking forward to rolling out the red carpet.

Jo's been practicing driving her new motorized wheelchair, and her chief oncologist thinks it's high time she got out for a change of scenery. A handicapped-equipped taxi will take her to Powell's, wait for her while she has a hour or so of zoom time, and take her back to the hospital. She is,indeed, giddy about the whole thing.
