Schedule

I haven't been able to attend many cons, but I'm almost always at Windycon, Wiscon and Odysseycon. I've been attending Duckcon for the past few years, on the "Writer's Track," and in 2008 we're planning something a little out of the ordinary for any interested writers out there.

I may be attending the Denver worldcon and I'm almost definitely attending the Worldcon in Montreal. When available, I love to go to World Fantasy Con — we'll see if I make it in 2008.

In 2007 I was Toastmaster at Windycon, and I had a great time (with the exception of my losing four dinosaurs on Sunday morning — see "MISSING — FOUR DINOSAURS!." If you see those four saurs, send 'em home to me. And if you're interested in what I might say as a Toastmaster, you can take a look at my speech.

On Monday nights when I can escape the newspaper office before 10:00 p.m., I try to make it over to Twilight Tales — ensconced in a new location (The Mix at 2843 N. Halsted, Chicago, IL) until the Red Lion Pub is rebuilt. The readings usually get started about 7:30 p.m.

And I'm still teaching for Oakton Community College's Alliance for Lifelong Learning (click on the menu item "Writing and Reading"), whenever they can round up the minimum number of students.
