BAEN BOOKS LAUNCHES A LINE OF MERCHANDISE THROUGH CAFÉ PRESS

Wake Forest, North Carolina: Baen Books announces the launch of a line of merchandise through Café Press. From apparel to housewares to hats and bags and other miscellany, there is a wide variety of items to choose from, sporting one of three logo styles: the classic Baen Logo, the “I read Baen’d Books” Logo, and the Baen Barfly Logo. The entire line can be found at:  www.cafepress.com/baenbooks.

“For years, we’ve been hearing from our Barflies about whether we would ever offer some type Baen merchandise, whether it was T-shirts, coffee mugs, or what have you,” said Toni Weisskopf, Publisher of Baen Books. “So we finally decided to take the plunge. We have, quite simply, the best, most dedicated group of fans for any US publisher in the business, and we’re delighted to be offering them a chance to show their Baen pride.”

Baen Books is one of the leading independent publishers of science fiction and fantasy in the United States. In addition to publishing such bestsellers as Lois McMaster Bujold, Eric Flint, Mercedes Lackey, Elizabeth Moon, John Ringo, and David Weber, Baen has been at the forefront of the electronic books market, ever since the 1999 launch of their e-book website: www.webscription.net. The Baen Barflies are those folks who hang out at Baen’s web board, Baen’s Bar (bar.baen.com), and have made it their own.
