Norilana Books has acquired A Stranger to Command by Sherwood Smith, the exciting prequel to her popular Crown Duel. The novel deals with the early king-making adventures of the young Marquis of Shevraeth when he is sent to a military academy in a faraway warrior land.
Sherwood Smith is the author of over 25 books, in particular stories for children and young adults, including A Posse of Princesses, Inda, The Fox, The King's Shield, Senreid, the Exordium series (with Dave Trowbridge) and Wren's World series. She has been writing fantasy since age eight, and her best-known reader favorite novel Crown Duel is currently in its ninth printing.
